Downloadable content (DLC) is added content created for a currently released video clip game, dispersed through the Internet by the game's author. It can either be included for no additional price or it can be a type of computer game monetization, making it possible for the author to acquire added revenue from a title after it has been purchased, usually using some kind of microtransaction system.
